Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - - January 19 2008) was an American theatre, film television, voice actress. 1. Pleshette started her professional career in the theater and was first seen in films in the late 1950s. She later made appearances in notable films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). She later appeared in various TV productions, mostly as a guest actor, and she played Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, earning several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was born on January 31 of 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish who were the children of immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was the stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
