Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. Along with BJJ, she also trained in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. When she was 18, Ladd made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and then went on to a three-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in all the fights. Then, she went to WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia gave Aspen a unanimous defeat and was able to outclass her, tarnishing Ladd's amateur career. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen was first introduced to the sport in 2015after signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta eleven saw Aspen dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. The next time she fought, she won against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen employed the strong skills she had learned in wrestling to take on McGill. She won her bout via TKO (3rd round) (elbows and punches). The next fight was against Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 in the weight class of catchweight(138.1lb) since Ladd was unable to reach the weight limit. Aspen was a dominant Hoy and finished her in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last promotion fight. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks prevailed by a majority vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She defeated Lina with a pound and grind to her before prevailing by TKO in the second round. The next time she fought Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the first round. Also, she was awarded an extra bonus for her performance that night. Ladd fought in her debut big fight in her debut fight at the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Ladd took home by a unanimous decision following an intense back and forth battle between the two fighters received the Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds, breaking her streak to win. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya after the third round in UFC at ESPN 7. As a replacement, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight ended in an majority decision.
